I've had to reinstall Windows because of a bug and RTW2 has been locked. Unfortunately, my activation code that I got when I purchased the game doesn't work anymore. Do I need a new code or is this a different issue?

I had the same exact issue - changed Windows distributions (Win 10 Pro to Win 10 Edu) and despite zero hardware changes, the Site/MID codes changed. I asked for new codes via e-mail.

In some cases if you upgrade to a full new version of Windows OS (say going from Windows 8 to Windows 10), or re-install Windows, then the license may be reset, depending upon a possible combination of events that are unfortunately outside of our control. Please email Mr. Dean (NWS Store Onwer/Operator) at warshipfc@yahoo.com with your Site & MID codes (and your RTW2 order #) and he can create a new activation for your game. (You can use the same Serial Number you already have). Thanks.

Lil question: What is the order number and where can I find it? It would be in the email that the Online Store sent to you, and on the original order after you paid. The number looks like this: " R######### " where # is a number. It helps us re-activate the game for you quicker if you can supply the order number, but it is not absolutely required. Sending the email used for the order, the date of the order (as close as you can get) is the minimum we would need to help you out. Thanks.

Is there any chance NWS will get a more up to date system that once you purchase the product you own it nothing else to do except enter the serial number and Windows or hardware upgrades like a new hard drive won't matter?

Given the piracy issues and them being a small niche Im okay with a protection scheme that takes a couple of days. They do allow "free" use of the game for 3 days which usually covers it. This coming from someone who recently bought a new laptop and screwed up the easy transfer so had to do the email things all over again. Which they did do within those 3 days.

We would like to automate the process for the next game, so that all you need to do is to login to a web portal to activate/transfer the game - we will look at that possibility as that would make it easier for everyone involved.
