After updating my game from 1.15 to 1.16c the game no longer runs. The RTW2.exe file is removed so the game cannot start. Reloaded version 1.00 and all was fine again but when I updated to 1.16c the same happened again. Clearly there is a problem with 1.16c. Any help would be welcome. No mods are installed by the way.

Your anti-virus may have prevented the .exe file from being installed. Try turning off temp. the anti-virus and attempting the install again. Also, what anti-virus software are you using, let the team know as they can contact this company and take action to prevent it.

As oldpop2000 says it is likely your anti-virus blocking the 1.16c executable - for each update I send in samples to all the major AV companies for whitelisting, but sometimes they are slow to whitelist the game...and a couple of them never get around to it even when I re-submit it.

After searching my system I found an anti virus programme that had illegally installed itself without notifying me at all which I could not believe. Very naughty. It's called Segurazo so I hope this helps.

I'd use Trend micro online just to check that there's nothing nasty left! (The on-line checker is a free option).
Anything that installs itself is a bit suspect...

I would download the free version of Malwarebytes and run it in addition, to make sure your PC is clear. I have used Malwarebytes for a decade or more and I like it quite a bit.
