It has just happened to me that I get technology of year 1929 Improved quadruple turrets in year 1922 as Germany. It is game with 1920 start with all treaties applied so Germany naval budget is really awful. But main point is I get this technology 7 years ahead which I think is impossible in way how research works.

In date terms, it looks it. However, in terms of tech it's no more than 2 techs, the intermediate ones being "Double Gun Mounts on CL" (1921) and "Weight Savings on Turret Fittings" (1925). So I think it is viable, but maybe at the outer limits of the tech skip ability. Though looking at the research chance, you skipped an 80% and a 90% chance tech for a 50% chance tech

However I cannot understand how I can gain such research points on tech so advanced as in my experience researching such advanced techs decrease your RP generated to almost zero so practically impossible to research something several years ahead of time. There is only one exception I am aware of and it is bonus tech.

Looked again, and it's 280k Research Points. So yeah, that is a lot to generate in 2 years, with all other tech areas under research, assuming that you start from 0.
Has there been a table or calculator found that allows us to estimate the number of RPs generated based on all factors?

Has there been a table or calculator found that allows us to estimate the number of RPs generated based on all factors? It is especially as Germany budget starts about 95 compared to UK over 400. For the comparison best is that at time I get this technology I have only get only other 2 which means and several areas set on high I do not get any new technology. It seem certainly strange as technology far ahead was invented before several technologies set on high priority.
