this number is with all tech in 1.17. Is this increase intended?

I am not certain what increase you wrote about. But if you mean that armour of turret increase with caliber, it should be as turrets are larger and need more armour to protect them.

The amount of armor does not matter. The problem is that the "price per (armor) weight" jumps up just by changing the type of gun.

Do you mean:
1) that the weight of the turret increases with these options?
2) the cost of armouring the ship increases with these options?

The amount of armor does not matter. The problem is that the "price per (armor) weight" jumps up just by changing the type of gun. I think it is still logical. I think it should not be viewed as armour only additional but as whole complex turret design. If you have no armour, you have no turrets. But turrets are quite complicated piece of engineering and as turret grows bigger it is more difficult. And it is especially true with DP or autoloaders. DP turrets need to have certain qualities which is difficult to achieve with increased weight of turret. Autoloaders is complex machinery system. So I am not surprised there are more costly. And I have no information that these numbers are not reasonable.

I am not certain what increase you wrote about. But if you mean that armour of turret increase with caliber, it should be as turrets are larger and need more armour to protect them. If you're referring to DP/AL turrets being more bulky, in that case the armor should both weigh more and cost more. According to the statistics above, the armor costs more than twice as much for AL, but the armor weight only increases by a few percent. IMO AL armor should weigh significantly more but cost less so it has the same cost/ton as normal, and the RoF benefits should be greater. DP armor costing more per ton could maybe be justified by requiring more powerful traverse mechanisms to achieve sufficient rate against aircraft.
