I would really like to have an option to choose a resolution of a ship picture. For someone a ship may be just a set of stats and a technical vertical picture you see in the battle, but I really like my designs, and because some of them may stay in an active main fleet for many gameplay hours, I usually like to give them a pretty picture. However current pictures are too low res and Im unable to create a detailed picture (I would like to use pictures with at least shipbucket-like quality). I also think that this is by far the easiest way how to kinda "improve gameĀ“s graphics".

One thing I'd like to say on the subject is that this is something the community could probably help with. It probably wouldn't be too difficult(*) for someone to make an external program that could extract a set of ship specs from a design file (tonnage, speed, turret positions, gun numbers and calibers, presence of flight deck, seaplane catapults, etc.), and then give the player a list of cosmetic items (bridge, masts, directors, funnels, etc.) to be optionally placed on the ship, and to then generate a side view image and write a top-down view back into the design file (for bonus points, generate a 3D model as well). The team could do this, but there might easily be someone in the community with a more relevant skillset and more free time, so features like the bonus 3D model would be more likely, and this is the sort of game feature that could be implemented externally without much loss in convenience. (*)then again, it's easy for the guy without much artistic skill to say that this would be a SMOP.
