My idea is that the game will allow you to plan a budget during peacetime for naval construction, training etc. Now, if war comes, you will be given more money. The game already does that, you get increased funding when war starts. Yes. I already said that. You said something to the effect that budgets need to be fixed every October. I disagree. Are you inferring that builds (ships/subs/aircraft) need to be appropriated by October and they are fixed budget assets until more money is appropriated which would be represented by a war declaration? I just dont see that being workable. If that's what you mean, and that's what I'm disagreeing with, then why would it be better than how it's currently implemented? The monthly budgets work just fine for me to be able to tinker with my naval procurements as the months go on and I see where things need to be spent. In the real world, that is exactly how it works. You submit a new budget to the SecNav before July, he reviews it, and then submits it to the SecDef. It is generally done around March. He then sends it along with the budgets from the other services, to the Congress for approval and then it goes to the President. After that, on October 1st. the new budget is activated. Does that mean money can't be reallocated or even increased? Nope, but you had better have your ducks in a row to get the approval believe me. Now if the team and the rest of the members want the game to stay on monthly budgets, that works for me. Do what you will, I will continue to enjoy the game, as always.

fredsanford - In the real world, I'd have a staff to manage routine tasks. I'm fine with letting the computer be my staff. If you want to run the Admiralty by yourself, feel free. dizzy - Confusing your opinion with facts is juvenile, especially since this game is apolitical and does not even say what currency it uses. You don;t have to be the one who explains anything, especially since, in my opinion, you don't understand why that action was taken. Everything is not a conspiracy. Using this sort of language ('It's just a bad idea') is trolling. Learn to express disagreement more politely or expect to be reported - starting with this time. Oldpop is nice enough not to call you on your language but I'm not. No bullying here, and I'm not saying 'please' because I've reproved you before.

dizzy - I agree with director here, and several others who have reported you in the past. You often try to see just how close to the line you can get, but you sometimes cross it. I've warned you before, multiple times, I've even suspended your account before. You can 'Lol' all you want, but we (the admins) take this seriously - being an a$$ is not acceptable on these forums. Either you understand this and agree to abide by the rules for good, or you can stop posting here. Which is it to be?
UPDATE: dizzy has now been banned - his response to me in a PM has convinced me that he simply will never take any responsibility for his actions, so he is gone. As a rule I do not like to perma-ban regular posters, but given the long history of dizzy s problems/issues on these boards with others (and the moderators), along with his recent postings and replies to me, it is has become warranted and necessary in this instance.
