Germany 1920 start year 1933 I have started convoy attack at end of sunrise and after just 1 turn I see that my scout force is at center of enemy. I think it should not be like this, if I get into situation, it is OK, but starting just 700 yards from enemy battleship (active), it should be visible much earlier. And my main force of 3 battleship just 3600 yards from 3 enemy battleships (south). Germany 193305 battle.7z (363.02 KB)

Well, ya see, if you are not standing on anything, you can see, if it is a clear day about 3.1 miles. Now, if it is on the open ocean, and you are in rough seas, then the distance is limited plus it depends on the time of day. The iceberg that Titanic hit, was only noticed 1500 feet ahead by the men in the crows nest without binoculars at night. It all depends on conditions.

In this case it seems to be a calm crisp early spring morning with visibility all the way to horizon and beyond from the crow's nest.
Though perhaps the error is that the game accidentally used the 4,000 yard night visibility for the deployment routine? It is so early in the morning that you can still see the dawn line in bottom left afterall.

If forces started 5000 yards and you will get into center, it would be ok, but during sunset in excellent weather conditions...

It happens again, in this case in relatively bad weather with visibility 5600 yards so it is reasonable.
However it shows another bad behavior. As scout division (2 heavy cruisers and some destroyers) were far ahead it was surprised by enemy force (this is OK) and try to disengaged as enemy force has several battleships. But everytime it loose contact it turn back to close friendly battlecruiser division. However between battlecruiser division and scout division was whole French fleet (known by scout division). So everytime heavy cruisers got several hits, slowing down, lost sight and again turning against whole French division. So after 2 or three repeats they were unsurprisingly completely annihilated.
I think this is linked to all division behaviour that they set course no matter when enemy division is. I think it should be some behavior the course will be chosen in safety way, out of enemy not to enemy.
