Nation: FranceCannot find ship design file: Desaix
followed by the same message and the following:
"Error in RecordFirstBuildDate Procedure: Nation: France Cannot find ship design file: Desaix"
and then:
"Error in LayDownShip procedure: Ship class file name: D:\Games\Rule the Waves 2\\Save\Game1\Desaix .12d not found!"
-----------------------------------------
I can see a few potential issues/reasons for that, e.g. - the double backslash or - the space at the end of the filename.
A file without the space does exist. As does a rebuild version "Desaix (R 1904).12d". I suspect the AI wanted to build a new ship of the rebuild type, but the internal function couldn't handle the parenthesis?

The double backslash is actually expected and does not affect the game...not sure "( )" or " " would/should, but will check with Fredrik W . Thanks!

Aa a player it is usually no longer possible to newly build Rebuild ships(in contrast to RtW1), right? If the AI does not know that, that could also be a problem.
