The Japanese "sneak attack" ability was broken on the update from 1.11 to 1.20.
When Germany declares war on the Japanese, the Japanese are given a decision box to determine if you want the entire fleet on a sneak attack. No matter what you hit, you get an error box "CreateRandomBattle procedure -1756901657". I did not encounter this error in the earlier version. It is reproducible every time I play the Japanese.
Thanks

Thanks Yes, there is a bug. It occurs in surprise attacks when you have no submarines. Thanks for the report!

I'd like to report yet another 1.21 bug: This is my spy report of an AI ship being built (1910). Since when do 18 knot BCs exist? Is this a bug? Or is my spy making an error (and its part of the games fog of war" thing?) EDIT: - One built the ship in the almanach shows 25 knots.

Or is my spy making an error (and its part of the games fog of war" thing?) If you make a copy of that ship's file in the save folder and change its extension to match the one for the designs of your nation, you should be able to open it in the ship designer and see its real attributes, I think. That should tell if it's a bug, or the spy is to blame. I'd suspect the latter -- with this displacement and armament/armour values there should be quite a bit room left to make it go faster than 18 kn.

A different possible bug or just oversight (or plain accident) -- playing a game as Great Britain, in possession of the Baltic States taken in previous war with Russia. A new war with Russia breaks out. When, during battle near Russian ports just north of my own, I detach damaged ship from my force with the instruction to head to the nearest friendly port, instead of heading to actual nearest friendly ports in the Baltic States they appear to try to sail in the earnest all way to Great Britain, or at least as far south and towards Denmark as the length of scenario will allow them...

I think it's feature of this battleplace (as well as some others). In manual to creation custom nations (may be downloaded from sticked thread) this definition explains so: As GB normally don't have possessions at Baltic, there should be such point for them.

Hello. My first bug! This strange message. What's with theses cruisers? This has appen when accept the first battle of first mounth of war of this game: a coastal raid. The "German Cruiser Div 6" was here for that matter: The 2 CAs in the next screen: A bit after that: I wasn't able to open fire at that bombardement land target. Seem in range, sighted and all of that? Attached, the save folder content. Attachment Deleted

In my experience a target that's close to the edge of visibility range often isn't actually visible, especially at night. You can confirm if the ship sees it with the 'manual target' button -- simply click it and see if the target is there.
During my Italy game I pretty much had to wait until dawn for the sighting range increase, to be able to target and hit one of these things.

Dawn seem to solve the problem, thanks ^^
A bit annoying nevertheless. The log report say that B Schwaben spotted and identified the target, but can't fire at it.

Bombardment from SAI has always been problem if ship is much closer to land's edge than target-seem that it simulates LOS and ballistic problems. Also ship in such position usually can't fire at ships behind the land.

Now that you mention it, this makes sense and I think there's a toggle for that in the preferences -- something about simulating LOS for land.
