In the Almanac (aka All the World's Fighting Ships) the ships tab gives a summary of all the ships' details. If you open an individual ship, those details are largely the same, except the speed can often vary. For example, the New York class B is given a speed of 17 knots here But if you open up the design, it states the New York does 18 knots Is this deliberate fog of intelligence, so we're never quite certain of the design speed versus actual achieved speed. Or just a small bug? Cheers RvT

"Is this deliberate fog of intelligence" - Exactly; although what I do not know and would love to is wether or not this depends on the intelligence funding in any way or just grabs the base values of a given ship and randomizes it somewhat.

Or just a small bug? Cheers RvT 18 knots is the base speed it gives if your spies haven't had any intel on that class and you aren't at war or allied IIRC.
