Hello everyone.
I bought RTW years ago, and I have greatly enjoyed it. I am considering buying RTW2 for myself as a late Christmas present.
However, I would like to hear some opinions about the game first. Have any problems found at launch been fixed? Have the various patches improved the game? Be honest please, I want to hear the negatives and positives.
Thank you.

RTW2 is now fully mature for play 1900-1940, after about 1940 there are some immature things "shining through", like missing jets, rudimentary SAM and no SSM (at least unmodded) integration etc. The last patch has removed DRM and provided a display color option. For full enjoyment after 1930 the "more ships mod" is however needed: nws-online.proboards.com/thread/3966/more-battleship-battlecruiser-designs-mod?page=1&scrollTo=61052 (this is an artefact of the vanilla game using historic Washington treaty designs as AI templates)
Nevertheless, the DLC release should be relatively imminent (2-4 months) and the DLC should solve all "rest items" mentioned above. So get RTW2 now if you want to enjoy what drove you to RTW in the first place and want to avoid the first "patch year" after DLC release.
