My purpose is to generate an error in the game and see how performance monitor reacts.
I am running RTW2 Version 1.25 with performance monitor running. Here is the information briefly
Private bytes =27020K
Working bytes = 32448K
Private Bytes are the actual bytes allocated by your app, including pagefile usage. in general, private bytes are the overall committed memory. while the working set refers to the memory that is backed by RAM. Private Bytes [Committed Memory] = Private Bytes + Page File
I will continue to explore some issues.

My game was 1943 GB. I ran fleet exercise with one British BB against an enemy heavy cruiser. Here are the numbers
33,188K - Private
46,976 - Working
So far no errors
I am going to run a game from 1900 and watch the figures.

Virtual memory combines your computer's RAM with temporary space on your hard disk. The hard disk may contain Disk Fragmentation since its files are written in a non-sequential way. Therefore, if the paging file or the virtual memory partition is patchy, the disk seeking time may be increased but disk performance may be decreased.
While playing a 1900 German game I just started, I noticed that Virtual memory does go up and sometimes goes down. I am still working on this. It sounds like the operating system is using the page file to augment the private memory.

Well, I haven't been able to get the game to fail while running Performance Monitor. If you can't make it fail, you can't fix it. I will keep trying.

Just a point, I have removed Webroot and now use AVG Free. I now have no failures in RTW2. I don't know if that was the answer, but it seems obvious based other members complaints. I have also removed it from my notebook, and use Microsoft Antivirus. I seems to work well but I don't use the notebook as a work machine, I am retired.
