I think intelligence collection and storage could be improved over RTW2. Unless I am doing something wrong, when my spies find a full blueprint, that data isn't saved anywhere I can actually view again. So I have to use a spreadsheet and write it all in myself as they pop up between turns, a tedious process. What should happen is that the almanac is updated with these newly found and confirmed values. The UI should be changed to include an indicator that shows the player if the specs for a ship are "Confirmed" or "Speculation" for example. Feel free to change the wording, but someway to easily see - "Ahh yes, I DO have the actual specs of the Bismark right here!" would be good to know.
You could also work in "Partial" data from the separate intel tab that we get reports in each turn. Sometimes we get 1-2 bits of info on a ship class there, but again, those values never make it into the almanac so I have to scribble them into an external spreadsheet myself.
In summary - When viewing the almanac for a given nation, the data there doesn't seem to ever update. Moreso, it displays two differing values, one on the spreadsheet overview of the enemy fleet, and another when you actually click on a vessel to view it's supposed design. The table could say it does 30 kt, and a closer look at the design claims 32 kt. Why do we have have two different estimates of the speed for this ship? I get that our intelligence isn't perfect, but our "guesses" should be confined to a single number per category (armor, guns, etc).
Making the UI allow for smoother player usage of intelligence would be a huge UX improvement.
