Hi guys.
As english isn't my mothertongue, I hope I didn't understood the following wrong. When I played with Germany my last game, my research teams invented the Battle turn away maneuvre. I hope I got it right, that this is the in german called Gefechtskehrtwende, the maneuvre, with wich Scheer escaped Jellicoes Crossing the T at the Battle of Jutland at 7:33 pm as well 8:18 pm. My question is, if this is right: How do I order the Battle turn away? Is it even possible in Admirals Mode?
As second am asking my self how to get the best way the enemy in the Crossing the T position? Well, I started reading much about technology and tactics the last weeks, but with my little knowledge in leading troops, especially at sea, I have now I idea, what's the best way to move my units. In my lastgame, the most battles, both ship lines moved parallel to each other and I trusted into my better armor and shells, keeping a distance out of range of torpedos. Mostly it worked, while I had more advanced units than my enemy, but it wasn't often possible to sink enemy ships. Most time the enemy AI decided to flee. Well...thumbs up for the good work at the AI, as it seems pretty realisitc to me. Why should I sacrifice my 50 Million Pounds worth ship, when I can flee, but I doesn't really feel like Hipper or Scheer or Jellicoe due my more or less dump way of navigating. It feels like a seabattle in 1619, but not 1916. May there is a tutorial you can suggest me? In English would be ok, but preferable in German please.
Thanks so far.
