Playing the game again for one of many many times and seeing still some of the same troubling things from RTW1
It frustrates me that the "detach" issues persist and make me a little hesitant on getting RtW3.
Ongoing Problem
=When detached by the player ships often make up their own mind to return to battle
Solutions
== In the type of mission like screen, support etc include a "Return to Port" that the player can select. This has the existing AI tweaked that it may never return to battle
== alternate order type for "Stay on heading" which also allows player to set the course for the retreat which might not be to the port as enemies might be in the way. Ships on this order would attempt to stay on the course set by the player. Would need to record the desired direction (or location target)
== Drop down mission types to have added "Go North" "Go South" etc order types which try to sail those directions. Takes 4 (N, E , S, W) or 8 (add NE, SE, SW, NW) orders being added to the menu.
