First of all total newbie here and congrats on a truley addictive game! Slowly learning it but my game a Japan was really exciting. Towards the end, about 1922 I was warring with Russia when my unrestricted subs took out a neutral liner causing Germany and France to declare war on me, I was fortunate to have negeotiated a treaty with The Brits which probably saved my butt. I had concentrated on sub warfare, torpedos and DD developement which made the surprize attacks deadly finally forcing the Ruskies to sue for peace, after The Brits began to blocade France an Germany about a year of coastal raiding and a few major victorys in crusier battles Japan emerged victorious with generous concession from both countries, a far different ending than I thought after becoming embroiled in a war with 3 countries! Kudos on a great game!

Welcome to the forums, chp8585!
On behalf of Fredrik (the RtW designer) and the NWS team I thank you for the kind words about the game - and I must agree, Fredrik outdid himself with this game!
Thanks again,
William Miller

Just chiming in on the same vein - picked up RtW a few days ago, based on a recommendation from the good Director, and I'm really, really enjoying it. So much depth and flexibility, such a great balance between the strategic and tactical layers, and while I'm early days yet, the way it chooses the missions based on fleet compositions in a region seems plausible and often challenging even if you might have fleet superiority in the area. A big thanks to Fredrik and the team (and to the good Chris at NWS, who helped me through an incredibly incompetent patch while trying to download it).

Supporting what has already been said here- RtW is an excellent game. It is easily my favorite game purchase of 2015.
