This should correct for the missing French cruiser classes the the Atlantic battle generator. The scenario time limits seem far too short. Playing large generator battles is very satisfying, but most end due to time limit just as the decisive moment of the battle is reached. For example, in my most recent game I was playing the new Anglo-French file. The two battle lines had exchanged fire for some time. The enemy line had broken in two under pressure from me closing the range. Just as I manoeuvred to concentrate my entire line against one part of the enemy with two hours of daylight left, the time limit was reached! NB not a single B on either side had more than minor damage.
This same problem of the 360 absolute limit has wrecked several generator games.

Regarding the length of generated battles, I doubt there is a definitive answer as to what's "right". Perhaps FW can look at the process, I do not see any input in the battle generator *.qbf file where you can adjust this manually or universally.
However, for large random actions (or as desired) it is easy to edit the battle length to taste so here's a repeat of what was posted in the Bug-Reports thread on this very topic.
Maybe down the pipe battle Duration selection can be added to the battle generator creation dialog but FW would need to weigh in on the practicality of adding this feature. In the meantime, you can have some control over the length of your random actions even if it is a bit inconvenient.

Good suggestions about the time limit. I Think it is possible to make the time limit selectable when setting up the random scenarios.
Edit: Yeah, that was easy! Next update will include the possibility to set scenario length for random battles.
