RTW public beta 1.33 b4 has been posted to the information and downloads section of this forum.
Changes and bug fixes: * Battleships with four single turrets will no longer be classed as BB. * Fixed a calculating error with the monthly build cost in the build ship screen. * Turrect arcs in design screen now updated when cross deck fire selected. * Fixed a graphics bug where ship hulls were sometimes displayed the wrong size. * Fixed the setup organisation glitch where a division could have more than one core division following. * Coastal batteries built at start of the game will now start in service. * AI nations will now not scrap sunk ships. * Added strength bar display mode for world map. * Tightened definition of B ship type.
As soon as this version is stable and no bugs reported we will publish the official version 1.33 of RTW, and we will thereafter focus development efforts on RTW2.

Is there any way for the "sunk ships" list to stop losing track of older ships close to the end of the game(1925)? Ships from the AIs legacy fleet, as well as any ships built near the beginning of the game, will vanish from the list close to the end. Was that from the AI scrapping sunken ships or something else?

Thanks! And the color codes reflecting tension levels are even better than what I suggested. Bravo. Also, thanks for the rest. And from henceforth, I'll confine my suggestions to the RTW2 thread. Thanks again.

Sounds great! And it's even better to hear that RTW2 will become the focus - I would love to see what you come up with next. RTW was unabashedly my own personal Game of 2015 (yeah, I know that title is no Oscar, but it's something!) and it's been excellent to see it evolved to where it is today.

Most likely that was the AI scrapping sunk ships.

Thank you.
Best to start with a new save (I'm about three patches behind atm)?
& more power to you on RTW2!!! You've got a sale here, no matter what.

May I beseech you, in your great goodness, to make a final pass over the user manual after all is said and done here?

It was a tossup between this and Witcher 3 for me. I'll give the tie breaker to whichever game had the lowest budget .

It certainly says something when Witcher 3 is as AAA as they get and RTW is made by one guy.

Honestly, indie games are frankly the best.
DF, RTW, etc.
NOTHING AAA COMES CLOSE TO THE ACCURACY OF THESE GAMES!

AAA games mostly need top of the line graphics, and it require tons of people to model, animate and paint all that. And if you put together a group of artists, accuracy is the last thing they care about - in fact, they are actively against it, as they want to leave personal mark on their work... Sometimes somebody high up the hierarchy decides accuracy is not cool and wont draw enough attention - like in Rome: Total War, where Egyptian units had accurate, hellenistic names in code, but in game they were portrayed as something between New Kingdom and Hollywood vision of pharaonic Egypt... There are also games (or screenshot making programs ) like World of Warships where graphics are most accurate part, as the rest is more like a joke - being broadside toward enemy bow/stern is actually the worst position possible, ships and torps move 5x faster than they should while turrets rotate and guns reload at roughly historical speed, and DDs disappear into thin air and carry unlimited torpedo reloads

Oh, WoWS is good fun. Just don't pretend it's any more real than World of Tanks is. I love the way the Konig Albert has a little painting of the man you can see through one of the secondary gun ports. It would be impossible to balance a random 12-on-12 game if it were realistic - I'm cool with gameplay trumping realism.
