Hi, i need some help. I tried to move RTW2 from my old PC (Ryzen 3700X on X470 board) to my new PC (Ryzen 5800X on B550), following the guide how_to_transfer_RTW2.pdf. It looks like my old PC lost the activation some time ago. (I last played in March) When i started RTW2 today i got a "unlock error". Now when i start RTW2 the activation screen show up, it seems the site code and MID have changed. How can this happen ? The only change i made to the old PC since last time i run RTW2 is change of the GPU. I removed the RTX3060 TI to use it in the new PC and put the GTX 1660 Super back into the old PC. Can a major Windows-Update cause this ? Who can i transfer the game now to my new PC ? If you have not heard back from Mr. Dean yet, feel free to PM me with your new SITE/MID codes and I will be happy to activate the game on your new machine.

Interesting designs! I referee'd a scenario several times years ago with my war-gaming groups where a Roberts class monitor had an encounter with a German CL (starting at very long range), it was a quite fun 'what-if'.

Would it be possible to add a "Don't remind me" button to airbases below capacity. I actually want to have bases with proper capacity in case war breaks out in the region without ruining my budget or having to click away 200 messages every 5 turns. Good suggestion, thanks!

williammiller ; could you let me know you've seen this. The reports visibility toggle, which is hidden in the "Show division names" button, only removes current reports when checked, new reports still appear. It's a small thing, but it's really bugging me with my old eyes. When I zoom out the contact flag doesn't look any different than the real thing. I don't want to start a bug report over it, but it's a bug. I will add this to the internal issues thread for consideration - thanks.

Sorry, but not at this time - now, when we get to looking at/working on those areas I will be able to do so at that point.
Thanks!

We have had internal discussions along the lines of "is close range fire deadly enough vs smaller ships", and the following is a change in a recent Expansion Beta that reflects our current view:
"Slightly increased very short range (< 4000 yds) hit chances and ROF to make close range fire against DD more deadly."

Hi, having a similar problem to other people in here. I purchased the game three days ago, and I have 1 day on the evaluation left, and have yet to recieve my email, or activation code or whatever. PM me your particulars (RTW2 order number, SITE/MID codes) and I will check on your activation for you.

This may be an OS-dependent issue - the Beta crew reports that they usually do not have an issue with this (the screen stays the same size).
What OS are you running?

Any chance of digital download for SAS? I live in the UK. If I were going to buy this game, shipping it here would cost me more than the game itself. Not at this time - however, I can say that we will have some news that relates to SAS coming out soon, so please stay tuned for that.
Thanks.

This may be a silly question, but is it too late to get in as a beta tester? I mainly want to so I can get a head start on building a mod I've been mulling over since the second time I played RTW1 a few years back. It always sucks that by the time you are done building an extensive mod, the player base has mostly moved on (apart from the grognards who are also modding).
Thanks for the inquiry. We run closed/internal betas, and right now we have a sufficient number of beta testers for our needs. If that changes, I will PM those who have expressed interest in helping out, so there is that possibility.
Thanks again!

can anyone help??? i have a great interest in great war at sea and expantion first am i in correct forum here? in the campaign game ( whole war 14-18) Does the game account for battle damage and related repair times?? for example if a battle ship sustains battle damge does it take repairs in home or other freindly ports?? does the repair times ( calulate ) in days in repair ? does the port of repair impact speed of repair?? i would be very grateful for an answer as i am have a hard time finding my way in the boads here!!!!!! johnlax51@comcast.net I believe the answer to all of those questions is "yes" - damage takes a shipyard/port & a certain amount of time to repair depending upon the level of damage. IIRC certain home ports can also effect repairs better than other ports, etc....

I think the game AI, especially for the UK, tends to build fast battleships with reasonable armour that then get classified as battlecruisers because they only have 12-13" belt armour. The real life Iowa class battleships would be battlecruisers in game because of their 33 knot speed and 12" belt. Perhaps from the mid-30s the game should make battlecruisers increasingly rare by making the classification of battleships wider to include fast ships, and only consider a ship a battlecruiser if it has thin belt (say less than 11"). A good suggestion, something along my own lines of thinking. Thanks!
