Hi everyone! Recently I watched videos of people playing SAI and it looks awesome, so I downloaded the demo to have a taste of this game. But the installation can't be completed due to this issue: Can anyone please help me to tackle this issue? Thank you.

samchiu20002000, Welcome to the forums! Sorry about the issue with the SAI demo you are having, it is uncommon but I have seen it before - it has to do with the accented "e" at the end of the name of that particular ship ("Liberte"). In some unusual cases during install this can cause issues when Windows refuses to recognize the symbol. EDIT: "Non-Install" version of the demo now posted!
Thanks!

And bad news... after taking a closer look, it seems that the installer just refuse to install any files after it failed to install the liberte.sdf (like the ship design files after liberte and the exe file needed to execute the game), even after I extracted the Liberte.sdf into the design subfolder.

I looked at redoing the demo installer but the prime issue is the shipname: unfortunately I cant change that ship name because the executable looks for that exact name and that ship will be missing during game play.
I have created a "non-install" version of the SAI demo (you just unzip it into a folder and play by clicking on the "SAIDemo.exe" file in the SAIDemo folder). You can find the link to download this 'non-install' version in the DOWNLOADS & UPDATES folder just under the 'install' version of the demo.
My apologies for the issue, it rarely crops up but this should be the best work-around for it.

Thanks and the demo works perfectly (Except a few unplayable ships as mentioned)!
