Currently in RTW the "bombardment target" of coastal bombardment missions is just a static installation with no guns. Since naval air stations are being added, will they be the focus of certain bombardment missions? This has some historical precedence in the numerous bombardment missions against Henderson Field in the Guadalcanal campaign.

This has some historical precedence in the numerous bombardment missions against Henderson Field in the Guadalcanal campaign. I'd imagine that NASs might appear in the same way as coastal batteries; you don't get specific missions to attack them, but you can engage them as targets of opportunity. That's just a guess, though; I'd certainly like missions to attack NASs. |
