I am suddenly reminded that if a ship in midway suffers a magazine explosion, and subsequently repairs it, it can explode again Well, it still is a magazine, isn't it?. That's what they're there for XDDDDD. WoWS would seem to corroborate that
Come to think of it, I can't think of a single vehicular combat game, where you don't have ammunition storage that explodes.

In the year 1903 the US crushed the rebellion on the island of Midway. Considering that the island population was approximately 30 individuals, of whom 70% were USMC servicemen, it seemed rather overkill to ship horses out there and run down the rebels with cavalry charges.

For all you know they might've decided to start the Clam Republic or something

Is this a reference to the homophobia in the pre-stonewall USA?

Is this a reference to the homophobia in the pre-stonewall USA? I'm referring to the similarly named "Conch Republic" in Florida Keys. Basically a semi-joke effort to secede from US

Would you call this lucky or unlucky?

Would you call this lucky or unlucky? Avoiding at least four torpedoes in one round is lucky, and striking a mine is rare therefore also lucky (bad luck is, of course, still luck), ergo this is lucky. Taking at least one of the four-plus torpedoes and not hitting a mine - that would be unlucky.
Of course, you and your digital sailors might not entirely agree with that assessment.

Would you call this lucky or unlucky? Honestly, I think it's reporting a torpedo as a mine. Had the same thing happen in my game.

HMS Sydney after air attack and 3 bomb hits (2 of them critical).
She has been quite lucky as sometimes even 1 or 2 bombs could sink light cruiser and she has only temporarly disabled 3 main turrets and kill captain and his officers. Usually deck penetration is almost certain.

How did you manage to land 9 hits when shooting 8 guns?

How did you manage to land 9 hits when shooting 8 guns? Hits are always per tick - minute. In point blank range even 16" guns are able to fire more than 1 per minute.

In my first game, Midway rebelled and managed to declare its independence in 1905... I'm not quite sure what happened, but I just assumed someone higher up forgot that we owned it...
