... start game as Sweden. 20% Research, Variable Techs, Harsher Peace deals, Slow aircraft development and an AI-designed fleet. Get ganked into a war with France in 1902. Managed to keep my points high enough to win it. 1906, Great Britain declares war. Suffice to say, balance of forces is completely out of whack, and the battle generator sure likes to throw me full fleet battles. Norway is invaded. Peace treaty comes up. Knowing that I lost either way, I pick the option to ask for peace... and this happens. What the bloody hell is going on with this game today?

Ended up resigning. It's completely broken. My tech kept being stolen, small fleet size meant 10 battleships per side, lost the war against Russia next, fought in the Med even though neither of us had bases there, had to pay reparations... and then I could take the Baltic states for some obscure reason. Something went very, very wrong with that mod.

Tokiwa, you'll be fine dueling those two coastal batteries while the battleships head into Tsingtao to clean up after the torpedo boats, right? Tokiwa, you're smoking pretty heavily over there, are you alright? Tokiwa?
Well, at least you didn't cost me the victory...
Oh, and it was three coastal batteries there? Germany, how many coastal batteries did you build here - that's two 6" batteries and a 10" battery all stacked on the same spot, plus at least one more on the other side of the harbor entrance and another further up the coast.

So here's one that popped up on my new AAR.
Canada has been coping with rising tensions with the British Empire and Japan. I've been trying to figure out what to do about it, when due to my own error in fleet allocation, British Columbia rebels and rejoins the Brits. The very next turn, my battleship "British Columbia" gets blown up by the Japanese!
Near as I can figure, Tokyo and London were probably plotting against us, so the Japanese sent an operative to blow up our ship. But then British Columbia (the province, not the ship) secedes to the Brits, so London has no reason to pick on us any more. They just forgot to tell Japan about it. So now we have to fight a war in the Pacific, without a west coast, and the Japanese, who probably wanted BC for themselves, went and created an international incident for no good reason.
I'm pretty sure King Edward is laughing at us both right now.

Playing as Japan, war started in 1935 with Russia. France had a treaty and joined in against me. Russia collapsed and dropped out after 8 months but France continued on. At month 40 Russia rejoins the war on my side. It's pretty fitting for their foreign policy in the period.

Well it happened AGAIN !! Glad i only put 12" of armour on these turrets ! Have you considered the possibility that 12" armor may perhaps be inadequate protection for a capital ship's main armament against the kinds of guns you can expect to see regularly from the mid-1910s onwards?

10% tech rate, so all the guns are low quality, allegedly. My 13" are -2 and 14" -1, so penetration of @ 10"- 11" . 12 " armour should not be that unreasonable against them. If they were +1 then yes they could probably do with more armour. Mind you I have never had britsih ships do this when i fight them, and they have similar armour schemes ! Might also help if i had more than 2 BC's on this coastal raid, and they had less than the 3 BB an 3 Bc's defending !

Additional to the above Flash fires, in the following Fleet Battle, 5 of 10 Capital ships on both sides suffered Flash Fires . Amazingly the French 14"-1 gunned and 8.5" armoured BB were not even damaged ! Ah well, who needs 51K VP anyway !
Or any Northasia bases !

I mean, I should be disappointed since it's a brand-new ship, but... I don't know, is there actually anywhere to land a hit on Genoa that isn't a magazine?
Also, Russia, Germany, thanks for allowing me the opportunity to examine a couple of your decade-old treaty cruisers. One question - Have you guys fired the designers yet? Especially yours, Russia - he seems to have forgotten both the armor and the guns whereas Germany's only forgot the armor.

Seems like the Kaiser, furious at the lack of dreadnought tech available, used sheer force of will to reclassify this monstrosity into a BB. That, and 15inch belt armor.
