By using our NWS forums you agree to follow the following Terms of Use:

GENERAL TERMS OF USE:

While our forums are mostly utilized by adults they are also intended to be family-friendly. Language should be kept within a "PG-13" level. Vulgar language is not allowed. This includes the use of any kind of offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate material deemed unsafe for younger members. Inappropriate language will potentially be removed and users will be warned. Do not post provocative, outrageous, or pointless messages only to get a response from others, i.e. "trolling." Repeat violators will be permanently banned.

Lastly, if it is abundantly clear that a user has no intention of positively contributing, and/or shows an abrasive or combative attitude over time, they will be banned. Mutual respect, following forum etiquette, and engaging in constructive conversation or debate is the general rule here.


PROFESSIONALISM:

The NWS forums are PROFESSIONAL forums, and as such members are expected to act accordingly. By using the term 'professional', we intend the following:

a) Our forums are held to a higher standard than some other forums you may be aware of - we will not tolerate behavior that is childish, obscene or disrespectful to other users or to our staff members in any manner or form. Treat others as you would have them treat you, and be respectful.

b) Our forums are primarily intended for discussion of our (Naval Warfare Simulation) games and all related topics (with the exception of the off-topic sub-forums). Please use/keep the proper subject matter on the proper forum.

c) Our forums are our (NWS') "electronic home". They are one of our primary means of directly helping our customers with issues/questions/etc, and any behavior we allow that reflects badly on our forums will also reflect badly upon us. We share our 'home' with you, so please act as you would expect a guest to act at your own home.

PERSONAL ATTACKS:

In order to maintain a positive atmosphere, no personal attacks or insults will be tolerated. While discussions may become heated, it is not an excuse to turn to attacks or insults. There is a difference between a passionate, respectful discussion and one that delves into personal matters. Think of it as debating issues, not individuals. When that line is crossed, the discussion may be closed by the moderation team. Violators will be warned and potentially banned if the behavior is repeated.

CROSS-POSTING:

If you have something to post and you're not sure which board it belongs in, do not post it in more than one board. If the administrators or moderators think it would fit better in another location, it will be moved there. Duplicate threads only serve to create confusion.

ATTACHMENTS & PHOTOS:

Attachments and photos are allowed as long as they fit the subject of the thread/forum they are posted on. No obscene or offensive photos/attachments are allowed. Anyone knowlingly posting SPAM or malware will be banned, period.

RESPECT OF COPYRIGHTS:

Respect our and others copyrights. Posting of copyrighted material, or linking to copyrighted material posted elsewhere, except as provided for 'fair use' or done with the copyright holder's permission, is strictly prohibited. The 'fair use' provision for copyright is summarized at the following URL: www.copyright.gov/fair-use/more-info.html

We will not accept posts that condones, excuses, or even worse, encourages piracy. Doing so will usually result in an immediate ban.

SIGNATURE RULES:

A typical signature contains the poster's name, website, and a favorite quote or saying. Excessive font size are not allowed. Anyone abusing this privilege will be warned and then have their signature removed until they acknowledge this guideline.

ADS & SPAMMING FOR OTHERS:

The NWS forums are not billboards, nor are they intended as advertising space for others products. You are certainly free to discuss others' products, compare them to ours, etc...but please do not post links to other stores or direct links to others products. If you wish to post links to our (NWS) products/NWS store feel free to do so, of course.

MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS PER INDIVIDUAL ARE –NEVER- PERMITTED:

If you forget your password, use the password recovery tool, in which case you will be able to reset your password, given that you have access to the e-mail associated with your account. If you are still unable to login, contact the administrator.

ADMINISTRATORS AND MODERATORS HAVE THE FINAL WORD:

If you have a problem or a complaint, direct it to the administrators and/or moderators, not to the boards or other members. The appropriate actions will be taken - we reserve the right to ban flagrant offenders when deemed necessary, with or without any prior warning.

The forum operators reserve the right to edit, add, or change the above policies at anytime for any reason.
