It's 1960-65 or so and I have researched most missile tech I think, yet I can't seem to actually add them to my ships. Is this normal or is my game broken or?

Missiles are to be added in an update (sooner rather than later)..they will include weapons such as the Fritz-X and Azon, and possibly early AAM as well. I don't know about any other possible types yet...

Perhaps the techs should be disabled or they should at least indicate that they are not implemented yet then.

1965 is roughly the timeframe for both SCANFAR phased arrays and Standard Missile...

The game only supports tech development up to 1950, so missiles and other tech will be roughly 1950 , perhaps ~ 1955 if you have very good luck with research in some playthroughs.

Perhaps the techs should be disabled or they should at least indicate that they are not implemented yet then. One reason why missile tech is already in the game is to to help make your save games more likely to be compatible when the game logic and code is later added for missiles
But of course I can certainly understand the confusion this may cause, apologies for that aspect.
