So... there was this thread over at the RtW1 Forums a couple of years ago:
My question still stands and my interest in getting it answered has been renewed. Especially considering that DP guns seemingly use HE as AA amunition.
Has anyone figured out an answer to how SAP relates penetration wise to AP? I don't really need hard numbers, i would be fine with rough estimates like e.g. 1/5ths the penetration.

SAP generally has from very roughly 50 to 70% of the penetrative ability of the same size AP round, if I recall the numbers correctly. It has a larger filler/bursting charge so if it does penetrate it will likely do more damage than a AP round.
