Does anyone happen to know or has happened to notice about how many different types of operational fighter aircraft you have gone through in a game? This is not counting improved versions of existing planes (which show up as model B, C, D, etc.) but rather new airframes that your forces received either through a design proposal or else through acquiring them from a private venture.
I'm curious how many different unique aircraft types a nation goes through over the course of a game. Looking for high end numbers. In other words, what's the most different fighter aircraft types a player can receive over the course of a game?
Unless I'm mistaken, I believe you can open up your "Aircraft Types" screen and click on "show obsolete types" and then count them at the end of your game.
Thanks for any help on this.
EDIT: PS. Don't include any foreign types that you buy from an allied nation.

This is from my Japan 1900 game, which I ran until 1948.
Yokosuka Kyofu - 1916 Nakajima Tokai - 1920 Kyushu Shiden - 1921 Mitsubishi Momiji - 1926 Mitsubishi Ginga - 1931 Mitsubishi Rensen - 1936 Mitsubishi Seiku - 1936 Yokosuka Shiragiku - 1937 Kawanishi Shiden - 1938 (Shiden II?) Aichi Seiran - 1939 Kyushu Tsurugi - 1941 Mitsubishi Hayabua - 1944
So thats 12 types in total. I think 2 of them were non-requested designs (One of the 1920/21 ones, and one of the late 30s ones). I went through a lot more TB/DB/MB designs, after having a streak of being unable to get anything above 'poor' reliability 1932-1940 or so.

TB - 7 (first one in 1930, prior to that I brought 2 US designs which I'm not counting here) DB - 10 (first one in 1930) MB - 11 (first one 1928)
Counting them out, its not actually more numerically, though in comparison in that same period of 1928-1948 I only had 8 of the fighter designs, the rest predate that, so it felt like it was relatively more.
