It is great to see the objectives in battle give meaningful points. It is a great positive change from RTW1.
That said, it has some inherent problems.
Just fought a battle as AH vs France - I was defending from French coastal raid in 1905 with a force of CAs, CLs and DDs against a smaller in number but roughly equally strong French squadron. I managed to sink a 12000t CA and 600t DD, while losing 4 DDs. Many ships were also damaged.
I got 11k more in ship damage points and 4k points for protecting merchants... but French got 12k(!) points for objective to sink 2 ships.
As result the battle was declared marginal victory, even though it was clear and obvious victory for AH.
I'm not sure how to tackle this - maybe DDs and KE should count toward objective if there are no other classes of ships sunk? So if you sweep the coast and sink some patrol KEs and DDs they do count, but if you loose BC doing so, you will not get point reward?
