I’m attempting to refit an older carrier with two flight deck catapults and they’re displayed in the designer as centerline swivel mounts, in both on catapults menu as well as on the model of the ship. Is this the way they’re supposed to display?

That’s what I found as well, I’ve noticed they increase the spot value as the manual says but they’re displayed the same way floatplane catapults are for other ships. They also place a swivel mount right in the middle of my beautiful flight deck lol. So I was wondering if it was a display glitch or if I was supposed to function that way.

i think there's 2 kinds of catapults - floatplane and carrier flight deck -
the one you developed is for floatplanes and not used on carriers

IRL, they looked like grooves on the foward portion of the flight deck (look at Ark Royal), should probably just be invisible.

As long as it works, it's not the looks what I'm worried for . The OP was asking how to put his catapults so they work on carriers - and that's how you do it. (of course you must have the tech that allows you to put cats on carriers - just catapults tech won't do).

I would never imagine that putting felines on aircraft carriers would confer any operational advantages. (Sorry, couldn't resist)

LOL. "Cats" is a commonly used word to refer to catapults, but that still made me chuckle .
