Freshly started a North Sea 1914-18 campaign. The first major fleet action happens in this scenario. At this stage like the in-game campaign description says, it is more about attrition. Sink a few DDs here, one or two BCs there, and when the Grand fleet sorties, the focus is to damage them and maybe sink a BB or 2 while at it but not to push it. Because as the underdog, the german High Seas fleet simply doesn't have the numbers to dominate. P.S. The early war german DDs are kinda lackluster compared to their successors evidently, as flotilla attacks lack some serious punch and run outta steam pretty quick... tis historically correct I reckon. youtu.be/iwxEiPw5m3k

Thanks for posting this. For some analysis regarding the superiority of the Royal Navy's destroyer flotillas early in the Great War see: Questions About Torpedo Boats

Randomizer, that was a great thread. I've read it roughly before and came to respect the DDs' capability and threat. It resulted once or twice in me chasing a DD across the entire north sea
