Is this working with custom nation? Hi, sorry I didn't see your question (feel free to @ mention me, tortugapower , if I'm slow to respond). I don't see any reason why it won't work with custom AI nations.

Hi, I've run into some issues trying to get the mod to work, any advice on how to get that to work ? (I'm using Japanese system local) <SNIP> Edit: Disregard what I had written here, I didn't see the second picture. Let me look into this and get back to you hopefully very soon (with a day) Edit 2: okay, I think I see the problem. Can you try relative pathing? I think that my settings parser does not like files with spaces in it. If my guess is correct, it should work with "./Game3/Autosave.bcs". I can add the ability to do full pathing with spaces to the settings parser later, if needed. It's good to know about this error, in any case.

I used the default path that came with the mod i.e. game save 3. It kept giving me an error about not finding the Autosave.bcs file
(Edit: This my sound a little fanboyish but I really like your videos, only found your channel about the time I bought that Game)

Not sure what's the exact issue. If you put the ai_wars_v0.302.exe as well as the settings file (ai_wars.txt) in the Save folder of your RtW2 installation, then you should be able to use this ai_wars.txt settings:
# File settings file='./Game3/Autosave.bcs' refresh=0.100
# AI War Parameters chance_of_peace = 0.15 chance_of_battle = 0.30 pct_small_battles = 0.80 My .exe and ai_wars.txt are in my Save folder, and I'm using those settings exactly.

When I change it to the parameters it spits out this error: # File settings
file=".\Game3\Autosave.bcs"
refresh=0.100 Am I using the correct .exe or does it need to be extracted or something ? My files in my save folder

clevebro It's weird that it's making a strange character out of the quotes. Maybe trying using the single quotes instead of the double quotes: file='.\Game3\Autosave.bcs' I think I have a solution to this as well, to hopefully keep it from transforming into that weird currency symbol thing. Let me know if the single quotes works instead of the double quotes in the meantime. I'll see if I can get an update out to help with this.

I figured it out, it is because of the Japanese system local, I checked it with a German system local and it worked .

Mind telling us what tools you used to create the mod? Thanks I wrote a script in Python, using tkinter for the GUI. I figured it out, it is because of the Japanese system local, I checked it with a German system local and it worked . Glad to see it working! I still want to fix this so no one else has the same issue. It may already by fixed but I'll look into it a bit more.

It seems to be a system local issue, I hope it isn't something to hard to fix, if you need some help with testing I'm glad to help. Thank you for your help in getting it to work.

In order to help me test this, can you create the file (that didn't work) in Japanese again, and then attach the ai_wars.txt here for me? (Or message me on Discord. Or, not as preferable, email it to tortugapoweryt@gmail.com -- I don't check that as often though) I'd like to run some tests with it.

I've followed the instructions as far as I know but the executable doesn't do anything. It just sits on an empty command prompt.
Does the game have to be running for this to work?
