After a couple of restarts I am still in my first game. In 1904 I think there was a naval treaty that limited displacement for new ships to 12,000 tons and guns to 8 inches, these restrictions to last 11 years. Due to this I had 4 very nice CA's scrapped at about 75% complete. Which is how it is supposed to work, other nations also scrapped a lot of projects. I build a new set of CA's keeping to the restrictions.
However, I am wondering: how you see the status of current naval treaties and whether they are still in force? I am asking because I got into a war with Russia and while that is going well, I keep seeing other intel reports that so and so has laid down a B, BB or BC. In the almanac these ships are definitely violating the 12,000 ton limit. Did I just miss a message that the treaty was revoked? Or are they always revoked as soon as war breaks out?

At war all naval treaties are void, even after the war is over. So go ahead, design without restrictions.

At the bottom left of the screen there is a tab showing how many months is left in the treaty.

Is there anywhere to see exactly what the restrictions on building are during a treaty? I'm normally fine for a year or so, but then I forget exactly what the restrictions were and end up having to trial-and-error builds.

A button near or as the treaty months left would work.

If you mouse over the section showing the months left in the treaty, it will tell you the limits.
