In TU-16C (1970s) the DR for AS-5B LAM is listed as 10(5 if A) what is the meaning of A?
And final question: AS-5B LAM launched from Tu-16C, and attacking a ground target. I use table 9.6.1 Air To ground attack modifiers, but there isn't msissile row, should I use the PGM rows to calculate Modifiers?
Is Table 9.6.1 Air To ground attack modifiers used when attacking a ship with bombs/PGM/msls? in other words is it used only for land targets or we should use it also for over wáter targets ----Example and air launched harpoon msl against a ship use modifiers from table 9.6.1 or not?
Thank You

Alex,
The AS-5b is listed as "P(F)" in the "Targets" value for the missile, meaning it is a PGM-type weapon that can only attack "F" (i.e. Fixed) type land targets, so indeed it uses the PGM row for attack modifiers. The "(5 if A)" on the DR data value is for the Anti-Radar (KSR-11) variant of the missile, which should have been indicated in a note under the data line for the AS-5b but was inadvertently left out.
As stated on page 42 in the MNC Rules Manual (Section 9.6 Air-to-Surface Combat):
"This rules section applies to attacks by aircraft/helicopters against ships or surfaced submarines and land units (and includes attacks against aircraft that are landed/on the ground). Use Table 9.6.1 Air-to-Ground Attack Modifiers to determine modifiers for each weapon system type for each attack."
So indeed, Table 9.6.1 applies to attacks against ship targets.
Note that page 43, in Section 9.6.5, shows the equivalent "Target Size Factor" for different ship sizes for use on the TARGET SIZE section of table 9.6.1. Note also that the rules in that section also show a maximum "AN" value for iron bomb attacks against all targets (including ships) based on the target's TSF value...this is an important rule to note as it limits the number of iron bombs you can drop upon a single target in a single pass to a realistic number.
Thanks!

Ups! I've resolved bad attacks on the sosus station last night, after checking it +1 modifier to AS-5b should be applied in master attack table 2. It doesn't change result as the Sosus station was overkill wiyh 60 damage points.
