In the same turn I get events: - Fuhrer of (fascist) Germany announces total war and that this will be a long war - Germany surrenders and makes considerable concessions
These events should not occur in the same turn.
1900 start, defaults, US at war with germany for about 6 months, turn being processed, v1.03

Seriously though, good point! Surrender after a total war event is much less likely, but could happen. A very unlikely occurrence to have them on the same turn. I will try to do something about it. Thanks for the report.

i can confirm this has happened a few times - including once as Japan where italy announced they wouldn't surrender, and then that same turn resolution they surrendered
to be fair i thought the leader could have been toppled so i didn't think much of it - if it had been a compromise peace it might have seemed odd
