What has been your worst and best fleets the generator designed for you as 1920 starting fleet? I have spent approximately one hour today, generating the 1920 Japanese fleets as I like the idea of playing sort of realistic game, under the constraints of the Washington treaty. Being forced to update the legacy ships, focusing on cruisers and DDs and so on. Taking in account, that Japan entered 1920's with Kongos, 32 thousand ton, 8x16" Nagatos etc., the fleets I have been getting have been quite laughable. There seem to be certain "rules" to the 1920 starting fleets: - No ship shall have over 30 thousands tons!
- Commandment of the 12 inches - all your heavy ships shall have guns of 12 inches, no more, no less!
- Should, despite the previous commandment, a ship have guns bigger than 12 inches, it shall be forever cursed with short range, low speed or cramped quarters (or all of those at the same time)!
- All destroyers shall be created alike - short ranged and living hell for their crews!
- You should have respect to your elders! These 6 Bs are to be important part of your navy for the years to come!
- Deck armor of more than 2.5" is a disgrace to the nation and the navy!
- Battleship shall not be faster than 21 knots!
Besides, what I find interesting is, that while the legacy fleet never contains 30k+ ship with 16" guns, there is always such a ship or two under construction.
What I would give for a Nagato, with its 16 inchers, 5.5 inches of deck armor, 25 - 26 knots...
What has been your "auto-generated" experience so far? Did anybody ever get decent fleet to start with?
