I just did. I had taken Greece as Spain and built up fortifications and lotsa airbases and the first month of a new war with Fascist Germany, they Blitz it and I lose it. Scumbags! Never happened to me before, wanted to know if it's ever happened to anyone else. Trying to determine if this was a legit happenstance or not.

As Russia the bastards took the Baltic States. I was at war with them on and off for 20 years after trying to get them back, but never could trigger the invasion despite completely decimating their navy twice. It made every daytime battle in the late game suicide because, I had built up large airbases in the Baltic to support the wars against the facists. The planes would come swarm and kill everything at Sea. It made the late game pretty frustrating to say the least.

One thing I am noticing is that if (for instance) Austria had "colonized" Greece, if you are France at war with Germany and Germany blitzes Greece, I don't think Austria joins you in the war- which I would think should happen, and it would be pretty cool if it did.

The reason I asked is because I'm using hipper's custom Spain campaign and I used my Manual Invasion of Neutral Colonies technique and took Greece. Later, Germany turned fascist, went to war with me and decided Greece was a nice place and took it over without me doing much about it. It's okay though, cuz I just sunk their last carrier. Gonna get it back! Just wanted to make sure that the AI does do blitzes when a colony is owned by the player and not because of a mod or editing I'd done. So all is good.

I have fantasy about my home possession getting blitzed that'd be funny - you are playing A-H, Germany blitzes A-H, and you become the combined German/A-H admiral controlling both fleets haha
could happen - it's not like your fleet is going to be able to help against a full on land invasion

I have a feeling in that case A-H becomes just H. I guess we can always use a couple more dreads in the Danube.

I have a feeling in that case A-H becomes just H. I guess we can always use a couple more dreads in the Danube. That's what I did in my Spanish campaign. I started in 1898 just before the Spanish American War when Spain still controlled their holdings in the Caribbean and Southeast Asia. For that setup, with Spain as a global empire, I felt it was more appropriate to use Japan instead of Austria-Hungary, being that they had their eye on all of those possessions south of Japan. So I gave Dalmatia and the A-H Home area to Germany. It gave them a presence in the Mediterranean and helped fill the void replacing A-H with Japan. And as I suspected, it worked well as Germany just ruined Spain's day with that blitz into Greece. Now they have the entire coastline full of airbases and death. It's quite challenging.
