Commissioned by Japan in 1920. Quite thick belt armour even thicker than my most modern battleship under construction. In this battle she has no chance fighting with other Japan battleship my 1 battleship (10x16" guns) and 2 battlecruisers (8x16", 6x13"). Fight was about 12000 yards, 16" guns penetrated her armour quite easily.

I assume this was player-controlled legacy fleet stuff? That's not crazy for a 1920 legacy fleet - if we assume it was built circa 1910, it was probably a beast in its day. The 12"/-1 guns are bad because of the -1, but I have new-build BBs of that era using 12"/+1 guns, so the caliber isn't a problem per se. And the armour is pretty good - look how much punishment it took(assuming that wasn't all while it was sinking or something). That's a respectable unit, assuming its max speed wasn't actually 3 knots.
Maybe your enemy just had really good 16" guns?

Japan has not so good guns but belt armour is top level.
