Why is it that when I have Battlecruisers and destroyers, and the enemy has Heavy and Light Cruisers, the Mission generator always gives me "My destroyers vs. their cruisers" And yet when I have Heavy and Light Cruisers, and the enemy has Battlecruisers and destroyers, I get "My cruisers vs. their Battlecruisers" For the Cruiser Action mission?
Note: I am only talking about Cruiser Action here. Other mission types seem better balanced: I'm as likely to get the Battlecruiser as the Destroyer.
Edit: Nevermind, it was just a destroyer vs. destroyer battle. My bad

From my experience cruiser battle almost always give battle cruiser to the side that has them. I’ve maybe seen like 3-4 cruiser battle without battle cruisers when they are present in the area in all my rtw games

You actually jumped in before I could report on the after action report of the battle. I had posted before seeing it.
The enemy fleet also consisted of only destroyers, so it was a destroyer vs. destroyer battle. Had I know that, I probably would have fought it, rather than running away.

I’ve seen these dd battle being called cruiser actions too(usually when both side have only heavy cruiser and DD), and it’s indeed a bit odd. Might be something for the team to look into.

I like it very much, that you occationally get a completely different battle scenario than expected. Only DDs in cruiser battles, or rather big battles with several capitals, when a "small encounter" is announced.

There's nothing quite like the feeling of having a heavy fleet of your latest BBs in an area just for the mission generator to keep picking the same out of date CL over and over and over and over again.
Have now switched to never building combat cruisers (only raiders) just to stop the generator from screwing me over.

Have now switched to never building combat cruisers (only raiders) just to stop the generator from screwing me over. ...then the generator starts pulling your destroyers. So, you pull out the destroyers and say "HA HA GAME, I'll just field only BBs, and you'll have to let me use them!" ...then your BBs get torpedoed
But yeah, I love to use my CLs as raiders, not only because of the mission generator but also because I genuinely love raiders and antiquated CLs are the cheapest option, since they're already built.
