Attachment DeletedAfter updating to 1.05b I started a game as Germany with historical income. It is 1903 and I have a war with France with a victory in the first month's battle. Now in month 2 I am wanting to get some AMC going. The quantity of mines is greyed out and I have no direct control on the quantity. It is set to ~ 1 mine per 50 tons. (2 per 100 tons). An auto generated AMC was ~2500+ tons and showed 50 tons. I tweaked the design to be smaller except I cant change the # mines. I re did auto generation with it producing a closer to ideal 2000 tons with 40 mines. The AMC can not save and is reporting an illegal design. If I change the tonnage to 2100 tons it says the ship can only have 42 mines with 40 (yes less) showing in the grey blocked mine selection. I suspect a research is missing to have the quantity mines accessible to the player. If this is the case the programming error is that auto-generated AMC are not taking that into account so are assigning mines when there shouldnt be any. Since the player can't edit the mines the design is invalid so no AMC designs can be launched in the very early game.

Yeah, that's a problem when you build in foreign yards as well. The game needs to automatically set mines to zero if the selected yard doesn't have the mine rail technology.

So apparently.... the AMC in 1903 is blocked but not for the mine tech.

No technology is necessary to put mines onto AMCs. I wasn't specifically talking about AMCs. I was talking about how the Ship Designer should handle mines for everything.

There is still the matter of something wrong about the mine quantity being greyed out for the AMC compounded by the auto-generator assigning mines (when for that mysterious reason it cant have mines) making it unbuildable. (this check was done during wartime when it should be buildable).
