v1.05B
1900
Great Britain
Historical Budget, 100%, Manual Legacy Fleet
The AI has began building 18,400 ton BB's in february upon witnessing my legacy fleet BB's. Of which I have built 10
(16000t disp., 22kts, 14" B, 2" D, 2" CT, 10" T, 2" TT, 2" Sec., Flat deck on top of belt - 12" A,Y Double Turret - 8x5" single turrets)
This seems needlessly game breaking, the simple solution would be to build the same design or similar in either my shipyards or France's. An example historically would be the numerous Dreadnoughts constructed by the UK for foreign countries. And the Elswick cruisers, the design of which proved so successful that the Elswick yards would constantly produce the largely same design for a multiplicity of nations.
Another point would be that i dont think i should really be able to complete BB's without main battery wing turrets, or super firing turrets, as was the case historically.
I have only listed this as a bug as the AI is building over its displacement ceiling, otherwise i would label this as a suggestion.
EDIT: The First response BB to complete was exactly 12 months later in January 1901, it has a main battery of 12x11" arranged A ,F ,G ,J ,K ,Y - note the use of main battery wing turrets, making my dreadnoughts instantly obsolete - 11" belt 12x6" secondaries, and some tertiaries, 18500t disp. 18kts.
Needless to say this is starting to have the characteristics of a bug, i.e infuriating.
2nd EDIT: The first US BB finished at the same time as france's, this one is a complete dreadnought replica however, including the Main Battery wing turrets and the 3 centerline gun mounts, something neither of us have researched.
