I'm enjoying the good weather of the summer crashing my bike in the mountains around my town, but I have this game on the backburner ready for the autumn. I'm following some threats, but have a doubt for a what if scenario, and I wonder If it would be possible, so here it goes.
- Is possible somehow (in game option, or modded game) to play a 1900 scenario with aviation researched? My idea would be to play Pre dreadnought, Tsushima battle with biplane carrier aviation including torpedos... A steampunk dream.
So, is possible?

If their availibility is hardcoded, you cannot. But if it is related to the year or first technology, you just needed to change dates of these technologies in ResearchAreas2.dat: Shipboard aicraft operation Naval aviation, heavy than air Naval aviation, lighter than air Anti aicraft artillery

You would most likely need to manually edit the savegame or BNAT and the aircraft data filee but it is doable.

Probably both, depends what is wanted.
ResearchAreas2.dat - there you can define % chance of research of particular technology, how much efforts it costs and when is original year.
In save you can edit for all nations what technology is available. Number of technology is related to ResearchAreas2.dat, the first technology is zero.
Here can be found some info about file ResearchAreas2.dat. It is from RTW1 but principles are same.
