Something in 1.06 makes airgroups progressively loose experience, especially in wars. Both player and AI airgroups are affected. This leads to airgroups which do not show any experience level in the in-game display. Looking at the .bcs savegame I am astonished to find that all airgroups have negative experience! Also interesting is that all airgroups have "AircraftTypeID=-1". In battles this results in very rare aircraft attack events as the strikes do no find their targets...

With a simple experiment I deletet all the "-" marks afer "Experience=" in the file and, lo and behold, for most airgroups I get Veteran to Expert experience displayed ingame, although many, presumably those with the highest "negatives" originally, do not get an experience level displayed.
So there seem to be two aspects to this bug: 1 - airgroups loose exeprience where they should gain it 2 - there is no defined bottom for the airgroup experience value (might also be that there is no ceiling, but that is not supported by the data)
This results in "out of bounds" experience values for airgroups which then act weirdly in battle...

actually i noticed the same thing with ships - during peace my ships get to 'good', but starting with last patch my ships on TP during war now seem to degrade to 'fair' experience
was playing italy so maybe it was education that was dragging their morale down, although they were doing really well in wars

I'm pretty sure that one of the penalties for being over the support limit in the zone is an experience hit for ships. I find this happens (including in RTW1) e.g. when I'm France blockading North America East Coast without bases - I end up with a lot of my ships degrading to fair or even poor.

all my TP ships are always in home waters [Digression from bug report] Do you have problems with enemy raiders in that case? My understanding is (and I've found) that TP cruisers only intercept raiders in the zone they're in. For ASW it doesn't matter, but I'm surprised that you don't lose a lot of civilian shipping to raiders....

TP is 100% about ASW for me, i'm not really worried about raiders - the ai doesn't use raiders en mass so at best they pick away at VPs, and the fact the ai seems to use mostly warships for raiding means they generally get interned sooner or later
either i'm blockading/being blockaded, or i have 40+ AMCs on the prowl doing more damage to the enemy than he is to me

Thanks - that makes sense
