11 of every 9 shots hit the target:
It is not bug. Look at your ammo, you can see that they decreased even more.
RTW2 is by turn which is 1 min. But firing from point blank is usually with maximum rate of fire so more than once per minute. This means that for 1 turn 6 guns firing can hit even more than six times.

So the 118% figure means 1.18 hits / barrel / minute?

It's not a bug for a ship to fire more guns in a turn than it has guns (or, more clearly stated, to fire some guns multiple times), but it *is* a bug to achieve more hits than the number of guns fired, or for accuracy to ever show as more than 100%.

rimbecanoThanks for correction, I did not noticed it on small display of mobile phone.

I have seen this several times, usually at close range under excellent conditions. It seems to happen when the game calculates your hit chance at greater than 100%.

If a ship says that it fires X guns, that merely means that that many barrels are firing, not that many rounds. Otherwise you'd see "Ship X fires 40 3" guns" every turn. Accuracy showing over 100% is not necessarily a bug, but just showing the "overflow" of a guaranteed hit.

I don't think I've ever seen 40 light guns fired in a turn, but you *do* fairly routinely see "Ship X fires N M" guns", where N is greater than the number of M inch barrels that the ship has, and this has been the case since RTW1. It doesn't happen all the time, as spotting fire doesn't use full ROF, and there are other factors like errors in drill that reduce ROF, but in a close-in brawl, it's not at all unusual to see a ship with 6 heavy guns be reported to fire 9 in a turn.

I'm sorry, but I cannot recall a single instance of seeing a ship report firing more guns than they are equipped with. In these pictures, two classes of ships with ROFs above 2 report firing no more than the amount of gun that were capable of firing. Attachments:

noshurviverseYou cannot see it directly as game log shows how many guns are firing and hits only. But in close range you can see that there are more number of hits than your guns. You can see it by ammunition spending too.

If the ROF of a gun battery is > 1 RPM, and the hit chances are fairly good (and/or you or the AI are just lucky), then indeed you can achieve more hits than the number of barrels firing. This is simply WAD.
