CV deleting air group in peace time

One of my CV, the Defiant, has now twice lost its air group of 100 planes. This carrier does have the same name as a CV that was sunk. Maybe that is influencing this. The first time the air group disappeared I was thinking it odd and perhaps confused with another carrier that got its air group at the same time. This second time it is definitely the game auto deleting the entire 100 plane air group. I had used this CV Defiant in the recent war and it was launching planes in battles. Now a few months later I was checking on the air group page and CV Defiant is once again at 0/0/100 planes.

I rename my carrier squadrons to include the carrier name. From 1234 Squadron to 1234 Defiant. this is so if I bring the carrier in for a refit I can give put the squadrons in the reserve pool and give the carrier the correct ones back. there was no refit going on at the time of this bug.

Additional info:

= renamed CV Defiant to CV Debugger.
= Made new 100 plane air group for CV Debugger
= renamed CV Debugger squadrons to 1234 Debugger

= Decided to look through the "All" plane list
= Found squadrons of 1234 Defiant on carrier CV Defiant, which no longer exists as was renamed CV Debugger, with their Veteran/Good pilot skill levels

= Was able to use "All" planes to shift 1234 Defiant squadrons from phantom CV Defiant onto the CV Debugger

On the left notice there is no CV Defiant but there is a CV Debugger. These were the same ship. Reminder I had a CV Defiant sunk earlier in the game and had reused the name Defiant for a CV.

On the right notice the groups 8360 and 8361 are named Defiant as per my tradition, are shown onboard the CV Defiant which doesn't exist.

Recommend doing a logic pass check on what happens if a name is reused for a Carrier that got sunk.

Sorting the "All" by "Base" it appears that both sets of missing CV Defiant planes are assigned to the "CV Defiant" [which is renamed to the CV Debugger] but didn't show on the carrier when it was named Defiant.

Query:

What is your index or link for connecting squadrons to a base? Is it the base's name or an internal value we don't see?

I think that's it.

Im tempted to put an interm warning out in the general chat but that sort of thing is better done by the staff. that's only if my guess on the name is right.
