I'm playing a game as the UK, with many colonies and many air bases, and managing them all is kind of a pain. I have a few suggestions/requests related to copying and pasting of air groups.
First, please add a "paste" keyboard shortcut (Ctrl-V), which pastes the copied air group if an airbase has been selected. A "copy" (Ctrl-C) shortcut would be a logical addition as well, but paste is what would really save me a lot of time and effort.
Please also allow selecting multiple airbases and then pasting air groups to all of them at once.
If the target airbase has no air group, don't display the "This will remove all existing air units at the base" message; there's no need and it would save a click.
And last (and probably most difficult), don't remove all existing air units at the base ;-) Air units at the target which match should not be removed. For example, let's say I copy from an air base that has 20 fighters and 20 torpedo bombers. I paste to a base that has 20 fighters but no torpedo bombers. The fighter unit should be retained, and a 20-plane torpedo bomber unit should be added to the target.
Alternately, perhaps the target has 20 fighters and 20 flying boats. The fighters should be retained, the flying boat unit should be removed, and a unit of 20 torpedo bombers should be added.
Other situations could be handled in different ways. For example, if the target has 10 fighters and 10 torpedo bombers, the best thing to do would be to increase them in size, but the simplest thing might be to remove anything that isn't an exact match and create new units. Even if the solution isn't perfect, I think taking some measures to retain existing squadrons would be both logical and helpful.
