In my recent game, my AA technology stalled nearly completely, after my scientists started researching autoloading 3 inch guns in the 20's, but I was still getting notified of their attempts to figure them out. After stealing advanced director from them and buying DP 5 inch guns, I have found that I could not make any advances in that area anymore, despite prioritizing that area. Furthermore, knowledge of the advanced director does not seem to entail knowledge about basic director, as I still couldn't install any directors on my ships. This also kind of highlights that the tech skipping can get a bit silly at times. If you skip too many techs, you are wasting massive amounts of money and time and are basically crippled in that area. Similarly, only in the 40's I started catching up with the aircraft development, even though I have supposed advantage in that field. Another, unrelated issue I have found is that after refitting my Kongou class battlecruisers once (they were overweight after the refit), in the second refit I had ~1100 spare tonnage on them, even though I didn't replace machinery and I installed bulges before. Another, unrelated issue I have found is that after refitting my Kongou class battlecruisers once (they were overweight after the refit), in the second refit I had ~1100 spare tonnage on them, even though I didn't replace machinery and I installed bulges before. The link to the save is attached below: drive.google.com/open?id=1Rd_EI0iacf8xTCiS__uI0u-LGP9OoDS1I wager this is due to additional deck armor adding free space on subsequent refits, a bug which we have identified and should be resolved with the next release- if your first refit did not add deck armor, then it is (obviously) something else.
