I've got a really dumb question about the protected cruiser armor scheme. Now, I know that Protected Cruiser armor is like this: An armored deck wrapped around the vital areas of the ship's interior (Engines, Magazines, etc). My question is how does this relate to the ship designer? I'm guessing that on a Protected Cruiser Scheme, the "Belt" armor actually represents the (usually) thicker sloped portions of the protected cruiser armor? While the "deck" armor is the thinner area in the center?
