So I was thinking about this as a theoretical possibility to try and end wars faster, especially post 1918-1919 where you will not have trench warfare anymore. Let us pretend for the sake of argument that me as Germany, France, or Russia is at war with Britiain or Japan with home areas within the invasion range of our home areas or colonies. These three either by themselves or togethere in alliance have naval dominance, the enemy fleets are either sunk or blockaded or both. So instead of waiting for the war to end via revolution, or starving the nation to death via food shortage, why can't we not cooperate with the Army and make them into a glorified marine corps and invade the home area to end the war faster. After all, is the enemy fleet that is so weak in its own home waters really going to stop this from happening? We all know the real answer is no and so this should be allowed as a function to end wars more quickly. Also, obviously you cannot annex the home areas. But you could perhaps reap the benefits of occupying them if they are allied to other hostile powers..., cough, France 1940-44, cough.
It would also allow for better simulation of the world wars like in 1940 where France was completely demolished and occupied by the land forces, which seems strange when the game says that the army failed in 1942 after a 200m advance. This is 1942, not 1917, so the game could be better written there.
