When did you start the game - 1900 What nation were you playing - Germany Were there any start options that were not the default - Larger Fleet, 70% research rate, Harsher Peace Deals, Manual Legacy Fleet Describe the issue in detail - After taking the Baltic States from Russia in an earlier war, I am now in another war with Russia. I have air-bases in Riga, Reval and Libau - and am now bombed by my own aircraft from there. What were you doing when the bug occurred - In the middle of a battle What did you expect to happen and how was the result you saw different than you expected. - Well, I kinda expected my bombers to, you know, attack the ENEMY Can you describe how to reproduce the bug - No idea What version of the game were you playing (v1.00, v1.01, etc)? - 1.24 Game1.7z (419.44 KB) Note: I _am_ using an edited AircraftBasicData.dat file, that removes all wheeled aircraft from here nws-online.proboards.com/post/85423/threadNot sure how that could have such an effect though - then again, I know nothing about programming... Edit: All the follow-up air attacks did indeed target Russian ships, so this seems to have been a one-off fluke.

Friedly fire is done intentionally. It simulates relatively often occansions of land based aircraft bombing their own. One of most known example is torpedo attack on HMS Sheffield by aircraft from HMS Ark Royal. But there are plenty other ones.

You'll also often find you sink your own subs if you operate your task forces to close to their positions.

I have to question this, as I've played RtW2 rather continuously since release and have not once seen a friendly fire incident among any unit. In fact, this thread is the first time I've seen anyone report it. I have to ask if it's something that should be happening more often.

I have yet to be attacked by my own aircraft, but as to "Friendly Fire" I have had my own ships hit by torpedoes fired by friendly ships on several occasions and at least once had a destroyer attack and sink a friendly sub.

IIRC during beta testing there were a couple of reports of 'friendly fire' from own aircraft forces, and I *think* Fredrik W did mention that this could occur - but I will check to be certain.

As I thought, friendly fire with own aircraft is implemented & possible in the game, but it is rather rare which explains why few folks see it.
