Richedit Error at end of the turns

When did you start the game? - 1900
What nation were you playing? - France

Were there any start options that were not the default? - Very Large fleet size, slow aircraft development, harsher peace deal

Before I started the game, I noticed my computer cannot display non-English letters like ä correctly. My solution was to change all of them in the "shipname" txts, using a general order, for example, changing ä to ae. I have no idea whether that was the cause.

Describe the issue in detail. - An error dialog appears consistently at the end of each battle turn: "Error in the EndofTurnProcedures Procedures! Richedit line insertion error." Does not go away when reloading saves or restarting game. The log on the left of the screen also stops updating. This situation begins in a battle in 1920.
What were you doing when the bug occurred - Advancing a turn(s) in battle.
What did you expect to happen and how was the result you saw different than you expected. - I expected the error to not appear and the turn to advance smoothly.
Can you describe how to reproduce the bug - Enter a Large/Fleet battle and advance a few turns.

What version of the game were you playing (v1.00, v1.01, etc)? - v1.25

I noticed that someone faced a similar situation, and you mentioned one solution was to change shipnames. But I don't think I have any illegal shipnames, unless it was created by system.

Excuse me...I'm not expecting progress because I understand dealing with bugs is difficult. Now that I wasn't able to continue it during the past two weeks, is it recommended to abandon this savefile and restart a new career?

If you have the 'autosave' feature enabled you might try the last autosave to see if it has the same issue - otherwise I think the only other option right now might be a new game, I am very sorry to say.
